Original Thought
Flappers were a big part of the 1920s, these women were independent and nontraditional. After getting the right to vote women were elected in office. Behavior however began changing as well, women began seeking equality in their relationships.
This made women dress differently, they began wearing makeup and cutting their hair. In my opinion this is what made women how they are today, because of this spark of independence we now are allowed to do whatever we please without a mans permission. Lastly my thoughts on flappers are that they are what changed women's role today and influenced a very different nontradional fashion.

Gatsby is portrayed as a wealthy man with a secret and falls deeply in love with Daisy a woman he met when he was younger.
