Summary
Revolutionary era led to many documents and inventions being formed, these advances led to a revolutionary change. Documents were a very important part in this era, the Declaration of Independence changed everything. Colonies announced that they were breaking apart from Britain thus creating the Bill of Right. Basic rights insured that liberties and equal rights were protected. Inventions were also a key part in history which led to the formation of the Industrial Revolution this became the birth of social change and industry's. Slavery was a crisis on the road to revolution, the fugitive slave act made it a crime to help slaves on the run. However in 1863 the emancipation proclamation became a document to free slaves in rebellion and ended slavery in the U.S after the thirteenth amendment. Lastly reconstruction allowed states in the south to be rebuilt after the civil war then after fourteenth amendment Civil Rights act was added to the constitution.
My Thoughts On Revolutionary War
Revolutionary War was a battle between Britain and the U.S which ended with U.S becoming an independent nation. Overall i think many things in this era were unfair like the rights of women and slavery. African Americans were not allowed to have equal rights and most were put into slavery at this time which meant that they were not people they were property. After the U.S became an independent nation slaves were freed which in my opinion was probably the most significant event in history. Another problem was women's rights, women were not allowed to have the same jobs and rights as men which was unfair because i am a woman and if i did not have a say in what i wanted to do i would have to fight for my rights as many women did in that time. In conclusion the revolutionary war gave the people independence and changed the lives of many.
Racism in the Revolutionary War
This image basically explains how the victory of the revolutionary war impacted our society today. George Washington made it harder for American's in the revolutionary war to gain freedom. Most civilians were heavily taxed and had no say in the government this led to racism. African American's were outcast and treated poorly, most Africans became slaves and were abused and beaten until the revolutionary war. Lastly this image explains how the revolutionary war was well worth the abolishment of slavery and racism for the future.
